Notice of Financial Incentive / Rewards Program
This Notice of Financial Incentive describes Homebody's Rewards Program, including the benefits offered, how personal information is used, the estimated value of member data, and your privacy rights as a Member under applicable state laws.
This Notice is required under the California Consumer Privacy Act, the Colorado Privacy Act, and other applicable state laws and applies to Homebody Insurance Agency, LLC’s (“Homebody”) Homebody Rewards Program (the “Rewards Program”). Please review this Notice carefully before you opt in to the Rewards Program. If you would like to learn more about how Homebody processes personal information of our customers generally, please visit our Privacy Notice.
Summary of the Incentives
The Rewards Program provides its members (“Members”) certain benefits, including the ability to earn and use points on travel, gift cards, and rent. Members earn points for completing certain activities, as determined by the manager of the Member’s property.
Material Terms
You can view the Reward Program’s full Terms and Conditions here. In order to participate in the Rewards Program, we collect personal information such as name, birthday, and email address, which allows Homebody to operate the Rewards Program and provide membership benefits. Homebody uses that personal information to award and redeem Rewards Program benefits.
Homebody seeks to ensure that both Members and non-Members have a positive and rewarding experience when earning and redeeming points with Homebody. For this reason, Homebody may collect information from both Members and non-Members related to their personal preferences in order to provide personalized services, as described in the Homebody Privacy Notice.
We may collect additional information with your consent. Homebody “shares,” as the term is defined under the CPA, personal information of both Members and non-Members with third parties to personalize online advertising content, as described in the Homebody Privacy Notice.
The types of personal information that Homebody collects from Members are generally similar to the types of personal information that Homebody collects from individuals who are not Members. The amount of personal information that Homebody collects from a Member or non-Member may vary and depends on the interactions that the Member or non-Member has with Homebody. The categories of personal information collected include the following, which are disclosed in our Privacy Notice:
- Categories of personal information “shared” with third parties, if applicable;
- Categories of personal information processed for purposes of targeted advertising, if applicable; and
- Categories of third parties that will receive Members’ personal information, including sensitive personal information, if applicable.
Bona fide Loyalty Program Partner
In connection with our loyalty program, we partner with Ascenda Loyalty Pte Ltd., who serves as a third-party bona fide loyalty program partner. Ascenda facilitates the travel-related rewards and redemption services offered to our members. By participating in the program and redeeming travel-related rewards, the information you provide may be shared with or used by Ascenda to provide and personalize various travel redemption options.
Value of Member Personal Information
Homebody estimates the value of a Member’s personal information, solely for purposes of the CCPA and pursuant to the valuation options mandated by the CCPA regulations, to be reasonably related to the value of the benefits that Members obtain through participating in the Rewards Program. Homebody bases this good faith estimate on: the value that arises from Homebody’s commercial relationships, such as with business partners, vendors, and customers; the costs and expenses Homebody incurs in offering benefits to Members; the types of benefits provided; and the collection, use, and retention of the personal information of consumers who have voluntarily signed up and chosen to remain Members. The value of Rewards Program benefits to members varies significantly because individual Members take advantage of Rewards Program benefits in different ways and to varying degrees.
How to Opt In to the Rewards Program
You join the Rewards Program when you create a Homebody account.
Member Privacy Rights
Members who are California or Colorado (and other states, as applicable) residents may exercise their privacy rights, including the rights to know, correct, and opt out of the “sharing” of personal information, without any impact on their membership status or eligibility to receive benefits, and Members who exercise their privacy rights receive the same benefits as Members who do not. If a Member exercises their deletion right by choosing to delete their personal information, then Homebody will no longer be able to contact them in order to provide them with the Rewards Program benefits once Homebody has honored their deletion request.
Withdrawal from the Rewards Program
You may opt out of the Rewards Program at any time by notifying Homebody at service@homebody.com.
Please note, withdrawing from the Rewards Program will result in the loss of earned points, unredeemed rewards, and eligibility to participate in events and promotions, and will also limit your ability to utilize the full suite of features available in the Rewards Program because we will no longer be able to associate you with any points, rewards, or other events or promotions.
